At 0325 on September 27th, a Lightning strike started a residential fire in Smithfield. Fortunately everyone was out of the house and no injuries were reported. Stations 50 and 10 were initially toned to the fire. At approximately 0420, Station 30 was toned out to assist in the overhaul. Engine 31 and Brush 30 responded with additional personnel.
